About Me
After developing hyper-mobility as a teenager and experiencing some painful joint dislocations I originally discovered yoga whilst looking for an alternative to surgery. In my late teens and early twenties I practised to build muscle and stabilise my joints, however, I quickly discovered the transformative power of yoga extends beyond the body to the mind, and it changed my life on and off the mat.
My first Yoga Alliance certified teacher training at Yoga Dharma in Southend-on-Sea taught me the fundamentals of Ashtanga Yoga, which I passionately practiced daily during my twenties. In 2016 I travelled to India, to complete a 250 hour training at the Santhi Yoga School in Kerala, inspired by the Sivananda style of yoga I developed a deep understanding of yoga philosophy, and how these weaves into everyday life. I have since trained in restorative Yin Yoga, accessible Chair Yoga, mantra-based Chanting of the Heart, Samatha Buddhist meditation and, in 2025, qualified as a Shake the Dust practitioner - offering a fun fusion of free-form dance and cardio. As well as traditional yoga classes, I also offer Yoga Rave sessions - for those who love to dance but are done with the late night culture.
I have taught students of all ages and abilities, from early years and children to adults aged 50+, and my experience of using yoga to overcome physical injuries means I can adapt classes to suit a range of ages and abilities, rooted in the belief that Yoga is for Every Body.
“Hebe is a wonderful teacher, adapts her classes to everyone’s needs and makes any space a yogi space. I plan my week around her yoga class knowing that I always come away feeling relaxed and centred”
